Prince William is one of the most popular British Royals today. The public seems to admire the future King, with many individuals deeming him the "most stable" member of the family.

The general reception is that he will become a great monarch when he takes over the throne. However, there are new allegations that have emerged, claiming that the palace is now in "panic" due to his "crippling depression."

A high-level courtier revealed that the Duke of Cambridge is "secretly battling" it, according to Globe. He allegedly hid his depression from the palace and "blindsided" the monarchy, sparking concerns and worries among the inner circle of Queen Elizabeth II.

The insider continued that many are "terrified" about Prince William's potential inability to rule when the time comes. These all came after he admitted to being "engulfed by a dark cloud of anguish and depression" in the past.

As noted, the "devastating mental crisis" emerged after witnessing the aftermath of an accident. It all happened when he was still working as a helicopter pilot for the air ambulance service.

The tabloid said that the Duke of Cambridge quit the post a few weeks after what happened. While, officially, he left to become a full-time royal, there were reportedly talks about him, claiming that he could not handle the emotional toll of the job.

Upon recently revealing his "anguish and depression," the source alleged that the talks were right, and his confession has "rocked the palace."

Prince William, indeed, talked about the mental health crisis in an interview for an Apple audio series. He recorded his revelations in February, and they were made public earlier this month for the material titled, "Prince William: Time To Walk."

But, as to whether his statements have sparked panic among the royals' inner circles, this remains to be a speculation. The tabloid's sources have not shared any shred of evidence to support such claims.

On the contrary, royal experts and commentators applauded the Duke of Cambridge for doing this. A former Private Secretary to Princess Diana even described the so-called confession as a "revolutionary moment," according to the Daily Mail.

Patrick Jephson, also, asserted that it is an "honorable formula for a successful future reign" of the royal-born Prince. One royal source, then, added that "it is a deeply significant insight" into the future King of the United Kingdom, both as a royal and as a person.
