Shakira revealed how she found out her ex-partner, Gerard Piqué, was cheating on her: through a jar of strawberry jam. The disappearance of her jam made her realize something was going on, knowing her family never liked this sweet spread.

ShowNews Today revealed Shakira's suspicions began after not seeing her fruit spread inside the ref when she returned home from traveling. She knew Piqué and their kids, Sasha and Milan, all hate jam, so where did it go?

The 45-year-old believed someone had eaten the jam, but she knew it was never her partner or their children. It also meant that someone was with the former footballer at home when she was away.

She even seemed to allude to this turn of events in the music video for her and Rauw Alejandro's collaboration song, "Te Felicito." In the clip, she was seen opening a refrigerator and saw the latter's head on the platter.

Shakira and Piqué are believed to have amicably called it quits in June 2022 after being together for 11 years. However, things turned sour after she dropped a diss track, "BZRP Music Session #53," aiming at the former center-back and his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti.

In the lyrics, she said he left him with his mother-in-law as her neighbor, media outlets at her door, and in debt with the government, referring to her tax trial. After the song's release, she reportedly turned a witch doll on her balcony, facing it toward Piqué's mother's house beside their home.

The Queen of Latin music continued to live in their former house as the ex-athlete was the one who moved out. However, this living arrangement left her with Piqué's parents next door.

Shakira planned to move out and live in Miami but remains in Barcelona for now. She lived next door to her ex's parents.

So when "BZRP Music Sessions #53" dropped, just days after its release, she faced several conflicts with her former in-laws, especially the family's matriarch, Montserrat Bernabeu.

Hence, there are reports that the couple's former home is now under construction to officially build a wall to separate the two properties. Though the two houses are independent from each other, they're connected in some areas.

TV cameras caught a cement mixer working in the vicinity of Shakira's house, believing it would be used to build a wall separating the two homes. However, there are no words of either Piqué or his parents' reaction to it.
