Melania Trump has faced another set of criticisms and mockeries recently as the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 continues to soar high in the United States. Unfortunately, the country has already surpassed China's and Italy's total number of infected individuals as it reaches 164,253 as of the time of writing.

Despite the worsening case, the First Lady took the time to share a post on social media wherein she was largely called out by netizens. As reported, she recently "encouraged" everyone to try to "get outside" and "breathe in some fresh air" as the spring season is already fast approaching.

According to several reports, Melania Trump also urged the public to "enjoy spring," as well as the beautiful nature. This explains why the picture on her post shows trees that pretty much showcase the upcoming season.

The First Lady then ended her post with simple advice that the "need to take care of ourselves" is a must. She said that through and in this way, people can "take care of others" as well.

While the post seemingly aimed to promote optimism before the public, she was "lambasted" for her alleged laziness and incompetence. One netizen even sarcastically commented that it was a "nice thought" considering that many people are "dying" of COVID-19 because they "literally can't breathe."

Several netizens, reportedly, argued that all of the people affected by the pandemic are having serious difficulties, especially in breathing. So, it reportedly makes total sense why Melania Trump's post was criticized shortly after publishing it.

Some individuals also went on to point out that the people at the frontlines, especially doctors and nurses, have been having a hard time breathing because of the scarcity of masks and PPEs. As it happens, there is also a crisis ongoing in terms of the resources needed by the frontliners in fighting against the coronavirus pandemic.

As per ABC News, Melania Trump's husband, President Donald Trump recently addressed the issue of the shortage of masks and PPEs in the United States. While the American people were expecting the US leader to actually address the problem and provide solutions to the crisis, it was reported that he accused that "people might be taking masks" from the hospitals "out the back door," especially in New York.

He, reportedly, insinuated that the shortage is likely due to the selling of masks and other resources on the black market. However, New York hospitals, along with the New York Democratic Governor, Andrew Cuomo, has since dismissed the claims made by the President.
