Meghan Markle, Prince Harry Tell-All Book Dismissed By Royal Family

The tell-all book about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's royal exit has been dismissed as "uninteresting" to the royal family. Palace insiders said that the book, titled Finding Freedom, which will tackle an up-close and honest look at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's two-year stint as royals, is expected to be a predictable "soap opera."

Insiders apparently revealed to The Sunday Times that the royal family is far detached from the book's release. The source said that Finding Freedom is actually not a hot topic among the royals, who are always featured in books, whether it's authorized or controversial. The source said that the royals have had books written about them in the past and they have avoided some "hefty bombs" for it, adding that the royals are used to this system.

Reports also stated that the royal family will not be making a comment on the biography or tell their side of the story. Instead, they are keener about supporting frontline workers amid a public health crisis that shows no sign of letting up. The insider said that everyone in the family knows what the book will cover and it will likely be a "soap opera."

Finding Freedom is from royal journalists Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand. The duo apparently got special access to shadow Prince Harry and Meghan for months before announcing their departure from their royal roles in January.

The book is supposed to breakdown and shed the truth about Prince Harry and Meghan's decision to step back from their royal life. It was written to debunk the speculations and rumors about their exit.

However, a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said that the relaxed privilege given to Scobie and Durand does not mean that they are endorsing or authorizing the book's release in an official capacity. The spokesperson revealed that while Scobie and Durand were also able to speak with the people close to Prince Harry and Meghan, they were not able to interview the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The spokesperson also said that Prince Harry and Meghan didn't have a team to help organize who Scobie and Durand must interview for the tell-all biography.

"We have asked to see a copy ahead of publication," the spokesperson told the press.

Finding Freedom is set for release on Aug. 11 via Amazon. Sales soared for the book in the week the release was announced. Sources said that Meghan cannot wait for this biography to be out to dispel the negative notions about her.
