Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are no longer working royals after they officially completed their last royal engagement in March. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced earlier this year that they are stepping down as senior royals to focus more on their family and charities, have a “peaceful life,” and be “financially independent.”

After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s love-hate relationship with the spotlight became a little too much for them to handle, the couple decided that they want their son Archie to avoid the negativity and raise him as a private citizen. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex couldn’t catch a break from criticisms and unnecessary hate, so they turned their backs on royal life, packed their bags, and relocated to the US.

Now, a new report revealed that Archie will still earn a royal title despite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit. It is worth noting that even though the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are not senior royals anymore, they are still treasured members of the Royal Family.

In fact, Prince Harry remains the sixth in line of succession to the British throne. The heir apparent is his father Prince Charles, the second in line is his older brother Prince William, the third, fourth, and fifth are his nephews and niece, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

When Prince Harry married Meghan Markle in 2018, Queen Elizabeth gave them the title of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. According to the laws around hereditary peerages, Archie is still likely to inherit the Duke of Sussex title after his father’s death despite his parents’ wish to distance him from the royal bubble.

Meanwhile, it was previously reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were fearful of Archie’s safety after drones surrounded their Los Angeles home. At least five drone-related incidents occurred in recent weeks and some were flying as low as 20 feet over their home.

It is believed that the drones were operated by paparazzi. Since they are not allowed to go near Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s residence, they probably saw using drones as an effective option. But paparazzi photographers were not the only suspects in the incident as it was also treated as a potential terrorist threat.

According to The Daily Beast, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reported the threatening event to the Los Angeles Police Department. A spokesperson from the LAPD confirmed that the incident was reported on May 20 at 11:12 am.
