It's quite likely Democratic Party presidential candidate Joe Biden will become president of the United States on November 3. Poll after poll since April 19, 2019 (the date Biden announced his candidacy) confirm this result.

The latest poll from CNN released June 8 shows Biden leading Trump, 55% to 41%, among registered voters asked who they'd vote for as president. Biden's being chosen as president by 55% of respondents is his highest yet in CNN's tracking of this question extending back to April 2019. On the other hand, Trump's 41% voter support is his lowest ever in a CNN poll. All this bad news for Trump comes in the wake of the raging George Floyd protests and the COVID-19 pandemic, which Trump is badly mismanaging.

But what worries Biden the most is his nagging belief Trump is plotting to steal the election victory from him by illegally tampering with the American electoral process.

On a recent episode of The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Biden told his host Trump might attempt to compromise the election. He said the way Trump is going about this is to repeatedly and loudly oppose mail-in voting, which might be the deciding factor in a very close race.

He said Trump is going to try to steal this election by saying all mail-in ballots are fraudulent. Biden also sees Trump's push as part of a decades-old Republican Party effort to suppress voting rights, especially among minorities.

"It's my greatest concern," said Biden of Trump's rejection of mail-in voting. "My single greatest concern."

Biden also called out Trump for his relentless threat to use the U.S. Army to stamp-out peaceful demonstrations protesting the George Floyd murder and police brutality towards black Americans. He said Trump's threat to use military force is another indication of Trump's intent to use U.S. military power to overturn his defeat on November 3.

Biden added to Trump's mounting problems by assailing him for failing to lead America effectively against the COVID-19 crisis. He said Trump has "abdicated any effective leadership role" in responding to the pandemic.

Biden pointed out Trump has never bothered to offer a comprehensive plan to on how to reopen the U.S. economy. What Trump has is "basically a one-point plan" that focused solely on "opening business."

Biden, then, revealed his own proposals on how to safely reopen the economy. Under Biden's plan, the federal government will provide and pay for COVID-19 tests "for every worker called back to work." His plan will also ensure access to personal protective equipment (PPE) for all workers.

Biden also vowed workers and unions will "have a voice" in any of the federal government's reopening plans. He emphasized his administration will offer federal paid leave for workers that become sick from COVID-19.
