MONSTA X's I.M. Confirms Solo Album, Group's New Comeback Already In The Works

There is little doubt that MONSTA X is one of the hardest working idol groups in the industry today. The boy group have just released their latest mini-album Fantasia X and have been creating awesome new content for their fans. Although promotions for the latest comeback are finally over, it looks like Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M. are not quite ready to take a break just yet. Im Changkyun has just confirmed that he is already working on a solo album as well as another comeback with his fellow members later this year.

It's no secret that I.M. has been heavily involved with how MONSTA X makes their music. In addition to writing his own verses for each song the group has released, Im Changkyun has started getting involved with arranging and composing tracks in their newer albums. Not surprisingly, the rapper's songs have been well received by Monbebes who want to hear more of his compositions. So is it finally time for I.M. to release his own solo album?

I.M. recently spoke to Forbes about preparing for their current comeback and promoting the mini album Fantasia X. At one point, Im Changkyun was asked if MONSTA X is planning to release more English-language songs as a follow-up to their English album All About Luv. Interestingly, the rapper stated that the group is "making some English songs." I.M. quickly added that he is unable to confirm the date of release just yet but admitted that "we have recorded some songs recently."

That's not the only teaser that I.M. dropped during the interview. When asked about MONSTA X's plans for 2020, he admitted that he and the other members of the boy group are already preparing for a comeback. "Well, I think we are going to release another album in the third quarter, maybe," Im Changkyun said. In addition to that, he revealed that he is ready to make his own music as well.

"I'm making my own album. I hope to have my own album as soon as possible," I.M said. Not surprisingly, the confession had the MONSTA X fandom anticipating Im Changkyun's future work.

For now, it is unclear when I.M. will be releasing his solo album. However, it looks like plans for another comeback are already in place for MONSTA X. Needless to say, Monbebes are hoping to learn more about it in the next few weeks.
