Six of BTS' seven members have enrolled for MBA degrees in Hanyang Cyber University but this has nothing to do with their military enlistment, clarified Big Hit Entertainment.

Based on a report by Soompi, six members BTS have enrolled for graduate school at Hanyang Cyber University while their youngest member Jungkook is working to complete his undergraduate degree in Broadcasting and Entertainment at Global Cyber University.

According to a source from Big Hit Entertainment, the members' enrollment to graduate school is not intended to delay their military enlistment. The source said that the members are just interested in learning.

It can be recalled that BTS' eldest member Jin is expected to be the first member to enlist this year since his birthday falls on December 4, 1992. Most Korean men who were born on 1991 and 1992 are expected to report for mandatory service this year.

While fans are saddened by the news, Jin seemed ready to fulfill his duty as a male citizen. In an interview, he said that he believes that it is natural to accept the mandatory duty and that he will go when he receives his draft notice, no matter when that will be.

While the news only recently broke out, it turns out that Jin has been attending graduate school in Hanyang Cyber University since 2017. Jin originally graduated from Konkuk University with a degree in Film Studies while RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin and V all graduated from Global Cyber University, with majors in Broadcasting and Entertainment.

RM, Suga and J-Hope are currently enrolled in Hanyang Cyber University  for an MBA in Adertising and Media. Jimin and V have also signed up for the same program and are expected to begin in September.

It is not uncommon for Korean celebrities to graduate from college. In fact, the Kpop industry is filled with artists who managed to complete their degrees from prestigious universities, Koreaboo reported.

BIGBANG leader G-Dragon is one of the examples. After graduating from Gukjae Cyber University with a degree in Leisure Sports, he pursued a Masters Degree for Content and Retail Distribution from Sejong University.

Girls Generation Yuri graduated from Chung Ang University with a degree in Theatre and Film while YoonA graduated from Dongguk University with a degree in Theatre Studies.

Super Junior's Choi Siwon and Kim Heechul are also proud holders of diplomas. Siwon graduated with a degree on Physical Education from Inha Univeristy while Universal Star Heechul graduated from Sangji Youngsoe College with a degree in English Tourism Translation and a degree in Informatics from Sangji University.Third and fourth gen idols seem to be carrying on the tradition of finishing their degrees which prove that idols boast of both beauty and brains.
