The unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Lite may already have happened on Geekbench. Earlier rumors claimed that the follow-up handset could arrive in October. Interestingly, a new report claims its arrival is closer than anticipated.

Several sites reported earlier today of spotting the rumored Galaxy S20 Lite on Geekbench. The listing reveals not only the "score" of the upcoming handset but also several details about its specification. While the listing does not mention Galaxy S20 Lite, it reveals a handset with model number Samsung SM-G781B.
Sammobile earlier reported about this model number, which explained that the B at the end represents a particular region. Granting that the listing is indeed for the Galaxy S20 Lite, it shows that the device features an octa-core processor from Qualcomm. The Geekbench listing also shows that the smartphone has a base frequency of 1.8 Hz with a motherboard named Kona.
For the uninitiated, the term Kona refers to Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. The listing also reveals that the alleged Galaxy S20 Lite has 6 GB of RAM, the lowest RAM in the entire Galaxy S20 series. The device runs on Android 10 OS and scores 737 points on single-core and 2619 on multi-core tests.

A few weeks earlier, a report surfaced online claiming that the Seoul-based tech and electronics giant is working on Galaxy S20 Lite. Several days later, ETNews, a Korean publication, suggested that a more affordable version of the Galaxy S20 series would arrive in October. The official name of the rumored version of the S20 is not yet official.
Another report surfaced recently suggesting that the upcoming model might be called Galaxy S20 Pen Edition. This name suggests that the device could be an S-Pen series and could share some similarities with the Galaxy Note lineup. Whispers online also mentioned that the upcoming Galaxy S20 model might be called S20 Fan Edition.
Based on the previous generation releases of the company, the Galaxy S20 model might sport a plastic build and probably a triple rear camera configuration. Nothing is official yet about the upcoming handset, and all these are rumors and speculations. Take this information with a pinch of salt.
