'A Million Little Things' Season 3 Spoilers: Is Chandler Riggs Coming Back As PJ?

There's still a question regarding the official release date of A Million Little Things season 3, but production is slated to begin next month. The series could now finally tie some of the loose ends left in the previous installment.

A Million Little Things season 3 could also bring back some familiar faces, including Chandler Riggs' PJ. He's been through a lot, dealt with sadness and trauma, and struggled to find his identity. There are still a lot of stories that needed to be explored on his end and some could emerge in the new installment.

For now, however, nothing is officially confirmed that Riggs is indeed coming back. Yet, PJ's return is something that showrunner and executive producer DJ Nash is considering. He revealed on Twitter that he's hoping to see the character back in the series.

Hence, there's still a plan to include Riggs' character in the series, though its' just a matter of when. At the moment, it's unclear whether or not he'll appear in A Million Little Things season 3. Since filming hasn't yet started, it's hard to determine where the story is heading moving forward.

But, one of the stories that needed to be explored is whether or not Eddie survived the car accident at the end of season 2. In the closing moments, he broke his sobriety and called his wife to tell her he loves her. And while crossing the street, he was hit by a car leaving his fate hanging up in the air.

Meanwhile, Nash revealed that their current plan is to resume filming A Million Little Things season 3 on Tuesday, Aug. 25. However, this could be subject to change depending on the current situation. The good thing here is that the series films in Canada and the real-life health crisis there is handled well.

But then, some health guidelines and protocols should be followed, including a 14-day quarantine period in British Columbia. Some scenes might also be limited and there could be fewer people on set to follow the social distancing measures.

If ever the August filming date will push through, we could expect the new installment premiering in the fall on ABC. Still, everything all depends on the stability of production and what the network wants to do with their release date schedules.

A Million Little Things season 3 is currently included on the 2020-2021 schedule alongside Grey's Anatomy season 17 and Station 19 season 4.
