Katie Holmes Sees 'Silver Linings' Amid Coronavirus Lockdown With Suri By Her Side
Katie Holmes seems to take advantage of the coronavirus lockdown to spend more time with her daughter, Suri Cruise. The 41-year-old star sees a lot of "silver linings" amid their quarantine life and the COVID-19 pandemic.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Holmes revealed that despite the world's negative situation, there are still several things to celebrate. Although she has not seen her friends in person, she remains to be there for them.
She enjoys having FaceTime with her pals, trying to be still present in their lives. In celebration of her daughter's 14th birthday, she also tried to be creative because she could never go all out.
In April, she shared a photo of floral wall decoration on Instagram that she personally made to celebrate Suri's birthday. She accompanied the post with a sweet message for her teenage child, saying she is blessed to be her mother. She also wished that this year might be incredible for her.
In another post, Jamie Foxx's ex-girlfriend shared a photo of Suri from behind, wearing a pink-and-white flower crown that she also made. She simply called the snap "birthday vibes."
Holmes and Suri are often seen out and about, walking the streets of New York City to run some errands. Recently, the Dawson's Creek star literally turned heads as a guy was photographed looking at her while she was wearing a little black dress.
Since the lockdown ended, Suri, too, could be seen engaging in regular activities, like a typical teenager that she is. Paparazzi will often spot her going around the city, Hollywood Life noted.
She was seen grabbing some lunch with her friends and picking up new eyeglasses without her mom. Anyhow, fans do not have to worry about her safety as she always dons her face mask anywhere she goes to avoid catching and spreading the coronavirus.
Meanwhile, in an interview with InStyle in March, Holmes revealed how she raises Suri. She said she makes sure her only child would know her own "interests and tastes."
Her most significant role when it comes to parenting is to "nurture Suri into her individuality." She wants to assure that she is 100% herself, strong, confident, and able.
Thankfully, she is seeing Suri coming out strong. Holmes even commends her daughter for having a "strong personality."
As Suri is now 14, Holmes admits she is now out of the "girlie stage." She now has different passions, having interest from one thing to another.
