Gwen Stefani has been accused of having an interior motive of returning to The Voice. A tabloid alleged that the No Doubt singer is making a comeback as a judge for Season 19 of the singing competition just to keep an eye on her beau, Blake Shelton, and fellow coach Kelly Clarkson.

The Globe tagged Stefani as a "jealous" girlfriend of Shelton. The tabloid cited a source as saying Gwen is worried that Blake would be working with now single Clarkson.

The "Because of You" singer filed for divorce from her husband, Brandon Blackstock, on June 4. NBC, on the other hand, announced Stefani's return to The Voice on June 16. The tabloid used this as the basis of its claim that made it look like Gwen insisted to return on the popular singing show.

The source of Globe magazine claimed Stefani was worried Clarkson would try to make a move on Shelton. The "God's Country" crooner is, allegedly, lending the American Idol winner a shoulder to cry on following her split with Blackstock and Stefani didn't like it. The insider added that once Gwen is back, she will not let Blake and Kelly out of her sight.

The source added Stefani and Shelton will, soon, announce their wedding plans and this was also, allegedly, because of Gwen's jealousy. Gossip Cop, however, dismissed the Globe's story as totally absurd and insulting for Stefani and Shelton as well as to Clarkson.

It is offensive to suggest that the only reason Gwen Stefani would return to The Voice is to make sure that no romance will bloom between Shelton and Clarkson. It is, also, insulting to assume that Blake would cheat on his fiancée and Kelly would destroy her friendship with Gwen.

Gossip Cop noted that Stefani did take a break from The Voice Season 18 because she wanted to finish her Las Vegas residency. She started the residency in June 2018.

However, her residency dates this year were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. This means that Gwen has time to return to The Voice Season 19 and she is doing it not because of jealousy.

Gossip Cop noted that this wasn't the only ridiculous claim made by the Globe about Gwen Stefani's return to The Voice. Back in June 2019, it also alleged that Shelton pushed to replace fellow judge Adama Levine with Stefani.

The tabloid alleged at the time that Blake and Adam have been bickering on set all the time. It claimed that Shelton couldn't be more pleased if the Maroon 5 singer would be replaced by Gwen.

Gossip Cop debunked the report, stressing Adam and Blake are really good friends. Moreover, Shelton admitted in a tweet that he only found out about Levine's departure one day before it was publicly announced. Stefani, eventually, replaced Adam and joined Shelton, Clarkson, and John Legend in The Voice Season 17.
