Katie Holmes Confirms Romance With Chef Emilio Vitolo Jr
Katie Holmes and Emilio Vitolo Jr. confirmed their relationship through their PDA-filled days. The two seemed to be enjoying being together but their new romance is clouded in controversy.
Holmes and Vitolo Jr. were spotted earlier this week sharing an intimate moment just a day after they were first photographed kissing. In several photos published by Daily Mail, the Dawson's Creek actor and Emilio were seen kissing while outside of Vitolo's family restaurant in New York City - in full view of his father and other passersby.
Holmes wore jeans and a gray T-shirt. She pulled her face mask to her chin before wrapping her arms around Emilio and kissed him. Both were grinning while exchanging loving looks.
The pair first sparked dating rumors when they were seen dining out at a restaurant in SoHo a few days ago. The 41-year-old actor seemed to be enjoying Vitolo's company. She was photographed smiling and laughing.
Their first public outing was followed by another sighting of the two locking lips while on a date at Peasant Restaurant in Manhattan, New York City. The Batman Begins actor was seen sitting on the lap of her new beau while wearing a plain white shirt and jeans - just like the 33-year-old chef.
A source told Entertainment Tonight that Holmes and Vitolo's relationship was still very new and the actor was enjoying it. This is the first time that Tom Cruise's ex-wife has been romantically involved after her split from Jamie Foxx in August 2019. It is unclear how and when Katie and Emilio met.
However, according to The Sun's sources, Holmes and Vitolo were working together on an independent movie. The chef-restaurateur is not new to the Hollywood world. He previously appeared on Royal Pains and Inside Amy Schumer. The Vitolo family restaurant is also frequented by celebrities including Emilio's friends Rihanna, Joe Jonas and Whoopi Golberg.
It looks like Holmes and Vitolo may have been dating barely a week. It was reported that the latter was still engaged to designer Rachel Emmons. The Sun reported that Emilio called off his engagement to Emmons via text message just a couple of days before he was photographed hanging out with Holmes.
The Sun quoted a friend of Emmons saying Rachel was left blindsided and the former couple hasn't spoken since. The source said Emilio and Rachel started dating in February 2019 and were engaged a few months later.
The two had reportedly planned their wedding before the coronavirus pandemic but encountered issues recently because of conflicting work schedules.
