Princess Eugenie felt the nerves when she met Jack Brooksbank for the first time and she immediately told her mother, Sarah Ferguson, about this guy who gave her butterflies in the stomach.

Daily Express unearthed the story of how Princess Eugenie and Jack met in 2010 as the couple announced in mid-September that they were expecting their first child in early 2021. The news delighted the royal family considering that Eugenie and Jack have been together for a decade.

Both recalled that their first meeting was definitely love at first sight. Jack said that he saw Eugenie first and then they just stared at each other.

Princess Eugenie and Jack met in Verbier, a Swiss ski resort the royals often visited. The two were introduced by their common friends. The York princess said she definitely called her mom to tell her that she met "this guy" that night.

Despite dating for seven years, Eugenie said that Jack's proposal was still a surprise. The milestone event happened while they were on a holiday in Nicaragua.

In October 2018, the couple exchanged vows in front of 800 guests and they will be celebrating their second wedding anniversary on Oct. 12. Royal fans thought they would go for a baby immediately after getting married.

However, the pair announced that Princess Eugenie is expecting a few months after her sister, Princess Beatrice, married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in July. Sources said that Eugenie likely waited for the high of her sister's big day to pass before telling the world she is starting her own family. It's a testament to the bond and support the York sisters have for each other.

Princess Eugenie and Jack's baby will be the 11th in line to the British throne. However, the Brooksbank couple is apparently not going to raise their child as a royal.

The baby is also not expected to have a title unlike Princess Eugenie, whose father is Prince Andrew, the Queen's second son. The couple has not released additional details about the pregnancy but royal fans think Eugenie will give birth in the same hospital where she was born.

Meanwhile, Princess Eugenie seems to be adjusting well to her pregnant life amid the COVID-19 scare. She was seen out and about in the streets of London with a face mask on a week after her pregnancy confirmation. According to Town & Country, Eugenie was also seen having lunch at the famous Harry's Bar with a friend and her brother-in-law, Edo.
