MONSTA X Drops Stunning 'Fantasia X' Film Ahead Of 'Fatal Love' November Comeback
It's no secret that MONSTA X has been working on a comeback for the later part of the year. Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M. have been actively teasing their fans about the new music that they are working on for the past few months.
Not surprisingly, the idol group has announced their November comeback with a full album titled Fatal Love. To kick off the comeback, MONSTA X has unleashed an awesome short film titled Fantasia X which sets the tone for their upcoming comeback.
The Fantasia X film was listed as the first teaser in MONSTA X's comeback schedule. It would then be followed by the Fatal Love tracklist as well as the concept photos for the upcoming album. Because of its title, Monbebes assumed that the short film would still be connected to the previous mini-album Fantasia X.
The short film opens with a snippet from Joohoney's solo track 'Smoky' saying "It's time to let go." Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M. standing in the rain with umbrellas, similar to the closing scene in the 'Find You' MV where Chae Hyungwon is standing alone.
The film is then separated into two parts: 'A Story: Fantasia' and 'Another Story: X'. In the first part, Joohoney is a thief who steals keys for Shownu and Hyungwon. At one point, Shonwun makes a call to a phone booth but when Hyungwon answers it, he immediately disappears. When Shownu goes back to his car, he disappears as well.
The story of X is just as strange. It shows I.M. in a crowded bistro where he manages to stop time with the flick of a lighter. He then meets with Kihyun, who is looking for a key that they eventually find and use to unlock a music box. Upon opening the box, Minhyuk arrives to join them.
Minhyuk's role is to find an ancient clock which he turns with the help of the key. As the clock turns, everything appears to be going backwards and that's when the last part of the film is revealed: 'Our Story: Fantasia X'.
The short film certainly has Monbebes coming up with new theories about MONSTA X's new storyline. Hopefully, everything will be revealed in the comeback.
MONSTA X's third album Fatal Love will be released on November 2.
