ARMYs have coined a lot of words using the BTS members’ names. The fandom has repeatedly used these terms in their posts and comments on social media like they are actual words from the dictionary.

Three of the most popular ARMY-created terms are “Jungshook,” “Lejindary, and “Namjooning.” In a new interview for Rolling Stone, RM was asked how he thinks about fans using the term “Namjooning” and incorporating it into their lives. The 26-year-old rapper, songwriter, and record producer first thanked the fans for creating the word but revealed that he felt a sense of responsibility with it.

“Namjooning” is a term that describes RM’s self-healing activities, such as reading, spending time in nature, hanging out with friends, visiting museums, and more. Because ARMYs are inspired by him and are “Namjooning” themselves, the BTS leader feels responsible to live well, so fans would do the same thing.

These ARMY-created words are widely used by fans, and BTS themselves eventually learned about their existence. In fact, RM even used one of them when replying to a fan's inquiry.

Last year, BTS took a two-month break, which anyone agreed they deserve. Although Big Hit Entertainment revealed in a statement that RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook would be enjoying their lives as ordinary people during their time out, some of the boys still shared some updates on social media.

Big Hit Entertainment gave BTS absolute free time to do whatever they want during their two-month hiatus, and RM took this to heart. The BTS leader remained silent during the break but replied to a comment on Twitter.

When an ARMY asked RM what he was doing, he responded, “I’m Namjooning.” His reply was quite literal as he was doing the things that he would be doing outside his superstar status. RM is the leader of the biggest boy group on the planet, while Namjoon is an ordinary boy.

Every K-pop idol wants to achieve superstardom, but the saddest part of reaching that goal is losing themselves in the process. K-pop is a very competitive and cruel world, and it's hard for these idols to balance their careers and personal lives.

That said, RM previously shared that he regretted not having a longer time being Kim Namjoon as he became RM at the age of 16. Now, it’s hard for him to live as his non-K-Pop star self because he is already known worldwide. This sad reality is the reason why Big Hit Entertainment gave the members a long break to give them a sense of normalcy in their lives, even for just two months.
