WWE TLC will be on Dec. 20 and one of the matches to check out there is the clash involving reigning heavyweight champion Drew McIntyre. The only problem is that his opponent has yet to be determined. Right now, three stars are vying for that right – AJ Styles, Riddle and Keith Lee.

The race to become the no. 1 contender for the WWE title was made on the Nov. 23 edition of Monday Night Raw. WWE executive Adam Pearce made the announcement, revealing that it was the promotions’ way of rewarding Team Raw for winning at Survivor Series.

Unfortunately for Pearce, there was one member of Team Raw that got miffed with the move – Braun Strowman. The “Monster Among Men” believes he should be the no. 1 contender and just lost it when Pearce made the announcement. He put his hands on the WWE executive and capped with a headbutt.

That incident led to Strowman being indefinitely suspended by the WWE. However, the whole thing may be part of a script. It could be one of two scenarios.

One is that Strowman may be injured. According to Dave Meltzer, the former WWE champion may be taking some time off to address the alleged injury.

The second one could make more sense. It could be part of a grand plan to announce the transition of Strowman back into a heel character. If this is the case, Strowman could still be challenging McIntyre for the WWE heavyweight title at WWE TLC set for Dec. 20.

But for now, Styles, Lee and Riddle are the ones jostling for that honor. After disposing of their respective foes last Monday, all three are set to clash in a Triple-Threat match to determine who the no. 1 contender to McIntyre’s title will be. That happens on Nov. 30.

However, there are things to watch out for. Strowman could invade the match in some way. If he gets involved, mayhem is likely to ensue. That includes possibly making it a no-contest match or getting his hands on whoever comes out on top.

If that is the case, there could be another match happening moving forward. With several weeks to spare, Strowman could steal that no. 1 contender tag from any of the three names.

Lastly, another scenario could see that main event transformed into a Triple-Threat or even a Fatal-Four Way match at WWE TLC. Hence, the Nov. 30 edition of Monday Night Raw should be pretty interesting to see.
