The basketball world continues to figure out why Nate Robinson agreed to a boxing match against Jake Paul. The guaranteed money he stood to gain was not that big so there may have been another reason. Robinson and Paul earned just a measly $600 from that clash over at the Staples Center recently.

Regardless, some are looking to get some form of payback behind the humiliating loss. Robinson fell like a log following a big overhead right punch from Paul in the second round of their fight at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, Boxingscene reported.

Video footage of that spread like wildfire over social media. Some questions Robinson’s intent while others dared Paul to face them. One personality who has issued a challenge anther former NBA player, Metta World Peace.

The 41-year-old retired cager called out Paul on Twitter and dared him to play one-on-one with him. The challenge of Peace was in reaction to the 23-year-old calling out ballers to the ring. But rather than the cage, the former NBA champion wants the YouTuber to play him in a game of basketball. One NBA star who would love to see that is Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz.

“@jakepaul I heard you called out all NBA players... I'm no boxer, but I'll see you on the court,” the tweet of Peace read.

“I’d pay to see Ron Artest go against Jake Paul”, read Mitchell’s reply to that tweet.

For those who may not know Peace, formerly known as Ron Artest, is a handful in the court. He is not afraid to get into fistfights. But there is nothing perhaps more memorable than the unfortunate brawl that took place between the Indiana Pacers and the Detroit Pistons.

This was back in 2004 which involved Artest (Peace), Ben Wallace, Jermaine O’ Neal and Stephen Jackson. Players and fans also got into it, one of the memorable but ugliest incidents in the NBA.

Other than that, Artest has had his share of run-ins with several players for his rough play. That included the late Kobe Bryant who he eventually teamed up with.

Peace has a long list of fracases or rough play incidents throughout his NBA career. Aside from Bryant, other names include James Harden and Paul Pierce.

Will Paul consider Harden’s challenge? The better question perhaps right now is can Jake Paul play basketball?
