An Apple analyst revealed 2021 could become an eventful year for Apple as it prepares to launch products like its first AR device, as well as new AirPods and AirTags.

It is still early in January of 2021, but already, people are talking about what to expect from Apple this year. While the center of such talks is the expected release of iPhone 13 in the second half of this year, there are also rumors about impending launches of new AirPods and AirTags, as well as the company's first AR device. Amid these talks, an Apple analyst offered his view on the matter and revealed what users and fans can expect from Apple this year.

Ming-Chi Kuo, a reliable Apple analyst, disclosed his own take in a comprehensive new report on what people can expect from Apple this year. Kuo said that aside from the much talked about iPhone 13 and its features, which reportedly include the LiDAR scanners in all of the new models, he also expects the Cupertino tech giant to release its first augmented reality (AR) device this year. The analyst also revealed that Apple might release many other products, such as the new AirPods and AirTags, the hyped item tracker that many expected to be launched last year.

About the AirTags, Kuo said that despite several reports suggesting its launch in the spring of 2020, it failed to materialize. Apple remained mum on why the company did not release the accessory and has kept a tight lid on its fate. Despite the seemingly unclear destiny of the AirTags, Kuo doubled down on the Air Tags' existence in his report, suggesting that the long-anticipated accessory is set for release in 2021, alongside Apple's first AR device, new AirPods, and many more.

Kuo also made comprehensive claims about Apple releasing a type of augmented reality (AR) device this year. There are previous talks about the existence of an Apple Glass, though Kuo did not specify if this is what he meant when he wrote about the company launching a kind of AR device in 2021. The analyst said in the past that Apple's AR glasses will depend much on the iPhone, but there were no specifics on how it works. What is clear, however, is the revelation of Kuo that users could expect Apple to release devices like new AirTags and AirPods, as well as the company's first AR device, this year.

Aside from Apple's expected launch of products like new AirPods, AirTags, and its first AR device this 2021, Kuo also revealed that the Cupertino tech giant is set to continue its Mac lineup's transition to the new Apple Silicon chip this year. The analyst also said that the company is set to commence the transition of its Mac and iPad Pro lineups to mini LED displays. Kuo previously revealed that Apple will launch a restyled 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models this year, both having Apple Silicon and mini LED display technology.
