WayV members recently called out sasaeng fans who tailed them to an undisclosed filming location.

According to a post by Lucas, they were supposed to film at an undisclosed location but they were surprised to see that a lot of people followed them and started taking photos.

In his post, Lucas shared images of the sasaeng fans who had their cameras out and waited near their taxis in freezing weather. Lucas said that he could not understand why the fans would not leave even when it was already snowing. He added that he was furious to see so many people invading their privacy and their workspace.

This was not the first time that WayV complained about sasaengs, or extreme fans who stalk celebrities. Members often bring up the topic during their live broadcasts and call out the unhealthy behavior of these people who threaten the safety of the idols.

WayV has experienced being stalked to their dorm and being followed to their different activities, which makes them uncomfortable and unsafe.

There have been several incidents where sasaeng fans have caused idols to get hurt. WayV's labelmates Chanyeol and Sehun from EXO were surrounded by a mob of sasaeng fans in Vietnam last year that almost got them injured because of all the shoving. On his way to a vacation in Japan, Chanyeol was also chased by sasaeng fans, which prompted him to post a plea on social media.

He said that fans should not be unruly, especially in public spaces, since it may also cause injury to other people. GOT7's Youngjae also complained about being stalked and approached by sasaeng fans who took photos and invaded his space without permission.

Another notable case was TWICE Nayeon's foreign sasaeng, who even traveled to Korea to meet her face to face. In one extreme incident, the stalker was able to board the same plane as Nayeon and attempted to approach her, leading to a commotion on the flight.

Amid WayV's post about sasaengs, their fans have united in calling for SM Entertainment to take better care of their artists, Koreaboo reported.

They trended the hashtag #ProtectWayV on Twitter to bring the label's attention to what's been happening to the idols . Some criticized the label for being quick in reacting to dating rumors but being slow when it comes to addressing issues such as their artists' safety. Some fans called to fellow supporters to be mindful of their limits and respect the artists' privacy at all times.
