Nike Executive Resigns After Report Her Son Bought Resale Sneakers On Her Credit Card

A Nike senior executive resigned after it was discovered her son's shoe resale business bought limited edition sneakers on her credit card, according to the company.

Nike said that Hebert, vice president and general manager of Nike's North America business, resigned on Monday effective immediately. Nike in a statement said Hebert had made the decision to resign.

Bloomberg Businessweek last week reported that her son Joe Hebert used a credit card in her name to buy sneakers for his resale company, West Coast Streetwear.

The son reportedly used bots to snap up sought-after sneakers online, spending more than $132,000 on the credit card. The resale business then offers the collectible sneakers at a higher price, according to Bloomberg.

Joe Hebert said he had never received inside information from his mother while she was at Nike.
