Britney Spears has finally been given the chance to choose her own layer in her fight to end her conservatorship. A Los Angeles judge's ruling comes after the pop diva's second court appearance.

Spears is now working with the celebrity lawyer Matthew Rosengart. So, who is her new attorney and can he help his new client have her father, Jamie Spears, removed as her legal conservator?

According to BBC, Rosengart is now taking charge of the Princess of Pop's legal battle after her court-appointed lawyer, Samuel Ingham, resigned last week.

Ingham had been working with Spears since her conservatorship began in 2008.

Rosengart is a high-powered Hollywood lawyer who has presented a number of A-list stars. He also used to be a federal prosecutor.

He has represented the likes of Steven Spielberg and Sean Pean and won a defamation lawsuit for the latter. HollywoodLife said he had experience in media and entertainment litigation.

Last year, he represented Winona Ryder, Jimmy Butler and Daymond John. His other big-named clients are Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Eddie Vedder and Keanu Reeves.

In addition, Madonna, who recently expressed her support to Spears, also has a connection with Rosengart. The Queen of Pop has vowed to help the "Toxic" hitmaker be "out of jail."

Now, Spears is working with Rosengart, who represented the Kabbalah Centre, which Madonna attended before. HL reported the "Vogue" singer is confident that the new lawyer will be a "great advocate" for Spears' conservatorship battle.

To recall, the music icon posted a message of support on her Instagram story and criticized the legal agreement that controlled Spears' life. She even called her conservatorship a "violation of human rights."

A few days later, a source close to Madonna told HL she genuinely wanted to help Spears.

"Madonna meant every word of what she said when she posted her message on social media in support of Britney and fully intends on using her platform and connections to help in any way she can," the insider said.

"Madonna has known Mathew Rosengart for years and she believes he'll be a great advocate for Britney because he has a fantastic track record and she knows him personally. He's worked with several celebrity clients, including her ex, Sean [Penn], and she trusts his work on this case," the source added.

Madonna wanted to see Spears be out of her more than a decade-old conservatorship. Knowing they had worked together for the song "Me Against the Music," she adores Spears and the whole situation she is into makes her upset.
