After more than a year of waiting, "Tokyo Revengers" Season 2 will finally come to continue where the previous season left off. The second iteration now has an official release date and a new network.

The anime's official website announced the latest update about "Tokyo Revengers" Season 2. So, are fans ready for Takemichi and the rest of the gang's return?

The first season finale saw Kisaki Tetta shoot Chifuyu and Takemichi. The crybaby hero seemed to have lost all hope he got, and his story is about to continue in the second season.

The new installment will adapt the manga's Christmas Showdown arc, which mostly focuses on the major battle between the key members of the Tokyo Manji Gang and the 10th Generation Black Dragon. It will start where the previous season left off, with Chifuyu, Takemichi, and Kisaki at the present timeline.

A new conflict will arise in "Tokyo Revengers" Season 2 that will mostly center on the Shiba siblings, Taiju and Yuzuha Shiba. Taiju is the leader of the Black Dragon, and Yuzuha is his sister.

The two seem at odds with each other, as Yuzuha opts to join the Tokyo Manji Gang. She wants to take revenge against her abusive brother by being a part of his rival group.

From there, Takemichi will enter the scene and try his best to resolve the siblings' issue, hoping he can create a good timeline. After failing to save his friends and Hinata, he hopes to succeed this time.

Meanwhile, now that a new story is about to begin in "Tokyo Revengers" Season 2, it will also come with a new set of characters. The Christmas Showdown arc will see a change of cast.

Tatsuhisa Suzuki will no longer reprise his role as Ken "Draken" Ryūgūji, though there are no words yet on who will take the voice acting work. However, the new additions to the series will be "Jujutsu Kaisen" Mikako Komatsu and "Gintama" Tomokazu Sugita, to play the roles of Yuzuha and Taiju Shiba, respectively.

The remaining original cast members are expected to reprise their roles in the upcoming season. Elsewhere, the anime will have a new home on Disney+ after the network extended its collaboration with Kodansha to distribute more original anime produced by the publishing house on the streaming platform.

Hence, fans are about to see "Tokyo Revengers" Season 2 on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar, beginning on Sunday, January 8.
