Polish TV Show Makes Fun Of BTS Jungkook, J-Hope’s Appearances

ARMYs are outraged after Dzień Dobry TVN made fun of two of the BTS members’ appearances. The hosts didn’t only make “disrespectful” remarks towards Jungkook and J-Hope, but the show even went out of its way to ask the public about their visuals.

Before announcing the name of the winner of the“100 Most Handsome Faces” list for 2019, the Dzień Dobry TVN hosts told their viewers that they shouldn’t expect Brad Pitt and George Clooney and that they would be surprised by the celebrity who took the number one spot.

After revealing that it was Jungkook, they discussed the BTS star’s appearance while laughing at his name.

“To be honest, we never heard of him before, but the face… he isn’t very masculine. More like a little boy than a man,” one of the hosts said.

They then pointed out that the main reason why Jungkook won the “100 Most Handsome Faces” list for 2019 is that there are a lot of Asian voters. They also made remarks about the BTS star’s hair color.

“I don’t really know (why he won), but I’m sure that is not because of his hair. I’m sure he has dyed it,” the host said and laughed.

As if that’s not enough, the show sent a reporter out to show a picture of “Jungkook” to the public and ask them about his looks. However, instead of the BTS maknae, the reporter was holding a photo pf J-Hope. Clearly, they didn’t do any research before doing this segment.

“Well, he has an earring, right? Cows have earrings, too,” one said. “Man has to be a man, and a woman has to be a woman. Here, you can’t really say is he a man or a woman,” the man shared. “Effeminate stripling. Let’s be serious,” one woman commented.

As expected, these disrespectful remarks didn’t sit well with ARMYs. Many pointed out that a “handsome man” doesn’t only have one typical face that some of these Polish people refer to as attractive.

“I do not normally participate in ‘cancellation parties,’ but this right here is absolutely not it. It is beyond childish. It is toxic masculinity - sexist, hateful, racist, and it needs to be apologized for,” one tweeted. “Saying JK isn’t very masculine, using Hobi’s picture and broadcasting the part when they say he has earrings and cows have earrings too, questioning the result and calling it because of Asian voters and so much more. This is beyond disrespectful,” another one wrote.
