ARMYs know that Jungkook is a clean freak. He is very sensitive to smell, and the rest of the BTS boys previously said in an interview that the golden maknae is very particular with bad smell.
In fact, Jungkook’s stress-reliever is brushing his teeth. The BTS star also said in a previous video that he brushes his teeth every time he feels nervous.
There were also claims that Jungkook has allergic rhinitis, which makes him even more sensitive when it comes to smell. However, despite this fact, the 22-year-old singer, songwriter, and record producer just couldn’t stop sniffing one of his members. He even did it just recently.
After the 2020 Grammys, BTS returned to their hotel room and did a live broadcast on Vlive. There, fans spotted Jungkook smelling J-Hope’s hair a couple of times.
The first time was when the other members were busy talking in the beginning and Jungkook casually put his arms around J-Hope’s neck and sniffed his hair. (Watch the clip here).
After a few minutes, Jungkook, who was sitting on a couch with Jin and Suga, leaned forward to smell J-Hope’s hair again. J-Hope was sitting on the floor in front of him. (Watch the clip here).
What made it even more interesting is the fact that Jungkook looked very happy and satisfied after smelling J-Hope’s hair. As for J-Hope, he seemed to be so used to it that he didn’t react at all.
This is definitely not the first time that Jungkook was caught smelling J-Hope. And it’s also worth noting that it’s not just the 25-year-old rapper, songwriter, dancer, and record producer’s hair that he loves to smell.
Scenes from Run BTS! and Bon Voyage show moments where Jungkook smelled J-Hope’s neck. He didn’t even make any effort to keep it discreet. Jungkook also loves hugging J-Hope and sleep beside him. (Watch the short compilation here).
These clips make ARMYs curious as to how good J-Hope smell that Jungkook couldn't stop sniffing him. "He must have really liked the smell if he went in twice!," one commented. "Jungkook is really sensitive to smell and for him to always want to sniff and cuddle Hobi means that Hoseok smells really good. It hurts me that I can't know exactly how he smells," another one wrote. "Hobi is JK's personal scented candle lol," a fan shared.
Meanwhile, Jungkook is not the only BTS member who loves J-Hope’s smell. V previously said: “I like the smell of Hoseok hyung’s bed because he smells like vanilla.” In one of BTS fan signs in 2018, V was standing behind J-Hope and he suddenly went near him to smell his hair. (Check out the snap here). The 24-year-old singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor then sweetly smiled after doing that.
