BTS is currently the biggest boy band in the world. That being said, artists who meet them and get the rare chance to collaborate with them are considered to be very lucky.
However, Jungkook recently proved that just because BTS is highly successful now, it doesn’t mean that they don’t get starstruck anymore. In fact, when the golden maknae realized that he’s going to be in Pengsoo’s TV show, he was so excited about it that he proudly told his members about the opportunity that he got.
In a new Bangtan Bomb episode uploaded to BTS‘s BANGTANTV YouTube channel, V and Jungkook got the chance to meet Pengsoo backstage. While V was calm and collected when he met the giant penguin, Jungkook looked extremely happy and excited.
As Pengsoo arrived backstage to meet the pair, Jungkook quickly extended his arm to shake the penguin’s hand. “Celebrity of celebrities,” the 22-year-old singer, songwriter, and record producer declared.
While getting ready to take a picture, Jungkook was already making a peace sign while smiling from ear to ear. V then asked Pengsoo if he and Jungkook can each hold its hand. It happily agreed and made the BTS maknae's smile even wider.
“Is this for Pengsoo’s channel?” V asked. After the confirmation that their backstage meet-up will be shown on the giant penguin’s YouTube channel, a wide-eyed Jungkook then suggested that they should do Pengsoo’s “subscribe pose.”
“You know where you go… the subscribe thing,” Jungkook told Pengsoo. “What’s that?” the penguin asked. Then the BTS star confirmed his fanboy status by knowing the pose. “That thing where you go quack,” Jungkook said. He repeated it with the hand gesture and a huge smile on his face and said, “Quack! like this.”
After the meet-up, Jungkook and V returned to the dressing room where the rest of the members were staying. “I just met Pengsoo,” Jungkook told his hyungs. When J-Hope asked if he took a picture with it, the maknae proudly said, “Yeah, I’ll be on Pengsoo TV now.” He also told them that he did the “subscribe pose” while imitating the penguin’s voice.
Calling BTS humble is an understatement. One of the many reasons why fans love RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook is the fact that they don’t let fame go to their heads and Jungkook’s recent fanboy moment with Pengsoo is a reminder of that.
