The Trump Organization on Monday announced the launch of a new mobile phone service and branded smartphone under the name Trump Mobile, expanding the Trump business empire into the crowded U.S. telecommunications market. The venture includes a $499 Android-based "T1" smartphone and a $47.45-per-month mobile plan - a pricing nod to President Donald Trump's position as the 45th and current 47th president of the United States.

The wireless service will offer unlimited talk, text, and data, alongside roadside assistance and a bundled telehealth and pharmacy benefit, according to the newly launched website. The smartphone, encased in gold-colored metal and engraved with an American flag, is slated to begin shipping in September.

Donald Trump Jr. introduced the initiative early Monday during an event at Trump Tower in New York. "A big part of what we've done ... has been focused on technology for people who have been underserved," Trump Jr. said, adding, "one of the places where we felt there was lackluster performance was in the mobile industry."

Trump Mobile's rollout coincided with the 10-year anniversary of Trump's 2016 campaign announcement, further linking the product to the president's political branding. The website prominently features Trump's "Make America Great Again" slogan on its mock phone interface.

Eric Trump emphasized the company's focus on American-made service infrastructure, telling Fox Business: "You're not calling up call centers in Bangladesh. You're doing it right out of St. Louis, Missouri."

Though billed as a Trump business initiative, the mobile service is a licensing operation. A disclaimer on the site states: "Trump Mobile, its products and services are not designed, developed, manufactured, distributed or sold by The Trump Organization or any of their respective affiliates or principals."

The T1 phone, running Android 15, features a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen, 50-megapixel main camera, 16-megapixel front camera, 12 GB of RAM, and 256 GB of internal storage. While the technical specs appear competitive, the $47.45 monthly plan may face resistance in a market saturated with lower-priced alternatives.

  • Mint Mobile: $30/month for unlimited talk, text, and data (12-month plan)
  • Visible (by Verizon): $25/month with hotspot access

Despite this, Trump Mobile advertises coverage equivalent to the three major U.S. carriers - Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile - although none of the providers have publicly commented on any partnership with the venture.

The Trump Organization, operated by sons Donald Jr. and Eric Trump, oversees the president's private business interests, which now include Trump Mobile. According to Donald Jr., additional bundled services are expected: "With Trump Mobile, we're going to be introducing an entire package of products."
