In an interview with Nick Viall on his podcast The Viall Files, Kaitlynn Carter revealed she now keeps her relationships private to make it low profile. After she dated Miley Cyrus, she now turned to be "super private" when it comes to dating, In Touch Weekly noted.

Talking about her sexuality, Kaitlynn Carter revealed she is not putting pressure on herself in defining her sexuality. As she finds herself attracted to both men and women, she is not closing her doors to any possibilities that may come.

She doesn't believe in labels, thinking that it will be fun to explore that part of herself. But, if she ever meets a man that she wants to be with long-term, she will never put that off because she wants to "try dating a woman." As she is now seeing someone new, Kaitlyn Carter now wants to take it slow and make sure everything falls in the right places.
