There is little doubt that SEVENTEEN fans are always looking forward to any chance to safely interact with the boy group especially due to COVID-19. This is why Carats are perpetually eager to join the online meet & greet events. However, fans who will be part of today's online event are in for a major disappointment. Pledis Entertainment has announced that Mingyu will need to skip the virtual fanmeet due to "poor physical condition."

It's no secret that SEVENTEEN has been busy working on new content despite COVID-19. For instance, the idol group is currently scheduled to take part in the SEVENTEEN 7TH MINI ALBUM [Heng: garae] Release Commemorative Online Event where all members will participate in a virtual meet & greet. However, the event taking place on September 26 will be missing one of the members of the Hip Hop Unit. It has been announced that Mingyu is unable to attend the fanmeet.

Pledis Entertainment made the announcement in a statement released on the group's official SNS. "Regarding the SEVENTEEN 7TH MINI ALBUM [Heng: garae] release commemorative online event (all members meet & greet) scheduled to be held on Saturday, September 26th, Mingyu will not participate due to poor physical condition. All members Meet & Greet will be held with the participation of 12 members except Mingyu," the statement read.

The announcement also offered an apology as well as a suggestion that Mingyu might not be able to attend any events in the near future. "We apologize to everyone who is planning to attend the event, and thank you for your understanding," the statement continues. "We will inform you as soon as we know whether or not Mingyu can participate in the event after September 27 tomorrow."

It didn't take long before Carats had the hashtag #GetWellSoonMingyu trending on Twitter. In addition to that, several fans began begging Pledis Entertainment to allow SEVENTEEN to take a break before their upcoming comeback in October. Some have even gone as far as declaring that the comeback should be delayed to allow the idols enough rest from their hectic schedules.

For now, Mingyu's physical condition is a mystery as Pledis Entertainment has yet to release a more detailed announcement about the rapper. Nevertheless, fans are hoping that Kim Mingyu will get enough rest and heal quickly. In the meantime, SEVENTEEN is still expected to launch a comeback in October.
