"Among Us" is a hit online multiplayer social deduction game developed by Innersloth with over 100 million downloads. Its popularity attracted a lot of fans and even led some to become creative to combine it with other popular titles in the gaming industry; among these is "Dead by Daylight." Players wondering how to be able to play the hit horror game in "Among Us" could use some of these details.

What is The "Dead By Daylight" Mode in "Among Us"

Playing "Dead by Daylight" mode in "Among Us" is almost the same as playing the Hide and Seek mini-game but with several settings tweak and extra rules. Contrasting the standard "Among Us" gameplay where crewmates will attempt to identify the impostor, this mode gives away the identity of the impostor right at the start of the game. The impostor's job is still to kill all crewmates, but the odds are now stacked more firmly in the crewmates' favor.

Among Us "Dead By Daylight" Mode Rules

Impostors must call for an emergency meeting or announce their identity through voice chat at the start of the game. After that, impostors must stand at a central location and give a countdown, usually about 20 to 30 seconds. Crewmates must start completing their tasks during this period.

Sabotage is allowed in the "Dead by Daylight" mode, but it is only limited to lights and communications, but crewmates are not allowed to fix them. Additionally, impostors are not allowed to sabotage locked doors or oxygen. Also, impostors are only allowed to execute sabotages at the start of the game.

All crewmates must also agree not to report dead bodies or call Emergency Meetings. Players caught breaking the rules would be kicked out of the lobby. Crewmates must finish their tasks before they are all killed by the impostor. More importantly, lobby hosts can tweak some of the settings before the game starts.

Among Us "Dead By Daylight" Mode Settings

To make "Dead by Daylight" mode in "Among Us" more exciting, players should set Emergency Meetings to 1 or zero, Players Speed to 0.75x, Crewmate Vision to 5x and Impostor Vision to 0.25x. Players could also set the Kill Cooldown to 27.5 seconds and Kill Distance to short. Visual Tasks should be turned off, Common Tasks set to 2, Long Tasks set to 2 and Short Tasks set to 3.

"Among Us" is getting a new map called Airship this year. Innersloth has not yet announced the specific release date of the new game location.
