Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton’s Romance Cooled off and They're Considering Love Doctor's Help, Tabloid Claims

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's hot and heavy romance has allegedly fizzled.

In its Aug. 1 issue, National Enquirer claimed that Stefani and Shelton are thinking about whether they should hire the help of a love doctor to save their marriage.

"They're trying their best not to let the cracks show, but things are rocky behind the scenes. They went into this marriage with the idea that their sizzling attraction would last forever, but work, kids, and other things have gotten in the way of that," the source said.

The source also claimed that one of the reasons why Shelton and Stefani are no longer affectionate toward each other is because they both changed their appearances.

"Blake's gotten lazy and gained weight, and he just doesn't feel like romancing her anymore. It's like he's already won the prize and has now stopped trying to prove himself worthy," the source said.

Stefani, on the other hand, has been getting plastic surgeries left and right to the point that her husband no longer recognizes her.

"It's a real turn-off for Blake and he's begged her to stop. But Gwen won't listen. She keeps herself in great shape and is getting so frustrated with this situation that she's looking into hiring a new love doctor to make it right again. She misses those love notes she used to find in the most unusual places and just wants more attention. She thinks they need help putting the spice back into their love life - and the sooner the better. Gwen doesn't care what it costs. This is an emergency," the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid's claims with a grain of salt. It seems unlikely for Stefani and Shelton to avoid each other in the bedroom just because one of them gained weight and the other got some facial treatments.

The couple dated for five years before they tied the knot last year. This means that they have seen these changes even before their wedding and yet they still chose to get married.

This proves that the tabloid just made up this story about Shelton and Stefani to make it seem as though there's tension between the couple. But their fans all know how smitten The Voice coaches still are with each other after all these years.
