"Call of Duty Mobile" devs teased that an iconic "CoD" weapon could arrive in the game in this year's first season update. While nothing much is known about the upcoming content, this tease is enough to excite fans.

New "Call of Duty Mobile" Possible Season 1 Content

On its official Twitter account, "Call of Duty Mobile" shared an image of what looks like an SKS rifle. The silhouette easily gives away the iconic "CoD" weapon based on the length, magazine, handle and attachment selections. If the predictions are accurate, then this is going to be the second marksman rifle to arrive in the game.

It will be added to the list alongside the Kilo-Bolt Action, which arrived in "Call of Duty Mobile" last Aug. 2020. Before teasing the SKS rifle, devs teased another weapon using the same silhouette trick. The weapon resembles a lot like the iconic Marksman Rifle that appeared in "Call of Duty: Black Ops" and "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare."

The teased weapons are anticipated to arrive in the game's next season. However, fans should not expect that these iconic weapons will have the same names. The devs may also do some tweaks on the incoming weapons. At this point, it is hard to say if these teased weapons would be as powerful as they are in other "CoD" titles.

Aside from new weapons, there are rumors that the Attack of the Undead mode could arrive in the game next season. The popular mode is currently in the game's public beta test build. A new map called Rebirth is also rumored to release in the hit shooter title next season. However, these are not yet confirmed and fans should take this information, like all other leaks, with a pinch of salt.

Another "Call of Duty Mobile" Feat

Meanwhile, the app analytics platform Sensor Tower recently reported that "Call of Duty Mobile" is the most downloaded iOS game. Last month, the title was downloaded and installed 16.6 million times more than 50% of which comes from China's App Store.

Tailing "Call of Duty Mobile" in the second spot as the most downloaded iOS game is the social deduction game "Among Us." The game is the overall most downloaded title across iOS and Android devices for the month of December. Other titles included in the top downloaded iOS games include "Project Makeover," "Shortcut Run" and "Sushi Roll 3D."

"Call of Duty Mobile" is available on iOS and Android devices.
