Prince William and Kate Middleton posted a sweet tribute for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son on his first birthday on May 6. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared a family portrait taken during Archie’s christening, greeting him a very happy birthday.

The post made a lot of royal fans happy since the Cambridges and Sussexes have long been rumored to be feuding. As if that’s not enough, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their senior royal roles and moved to Los Angeles to start a new life with their son, making it even harder for the couples to work things out face to face.

So when Prince William and Kate Middleton greeted Archie on his birthday, many assumed that the rift may have finally died down. But a royal expert claims that despite things looking brighter for the two couples, the Cambridges may not have called the Sussexes to greet Archie on his special day.

A People magazine source said that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had Zoom chats with “godparents, friends, and family” during Archie’s first birthday. However, Prince William and Kate Middleton were not specifically mentioned. Although they could have been included in the "family."

But royal author Leslie Carroll believed that social media may have been the only platform that the Cambridges greeted their nephew. “I have my doubts that they have spoken during the lockdown, which is sad,” she said.

It was previously reported that Prince William and Prince Harry’s relationship started to go South after the older prince shared his concern about his brother’s romance with Meghan Markle moving so quickly. While the Duke of Cambridge had good intentions when he gave his brotherly advice, the Duke of Sussex reportedly didn’t take it too well.

Prince Harry, allegedly, saw Prince Willam's advice as "criticism." Royal author Katie Nicholl said that the Duke of Sussex was not very happy to know that his brother didn't support his relationship.

Meanwhile, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry were once dubbed as the “Royal Trio” as they do most of their royal engagements together. The three also have a tight bond, which is why royal fans were sad to know that they are not as close as before.

That being said, many aimed their anger towards Meghan Markle. A lot of royal fans believed that the dynamic of the Royal Family has changed after the former actress joined the famous clan in 2018.
