The United Arab Emirates have agreed to honor China with a weeklong celebration in recognition of its bilateral talks regarding culture and the sharing that had been done. It was first reported through the news agency WAM, Xinhua Net reveals.

It was during Chinese president Xi Jinping's visit to the UAE that the state had agreed to host the annual celebration. The president visited the nation as part of the UAE-China week, an inaugural event that was borne out of China's desire to extend diplomatic and bilateral relations with more countries than ever. The said celebration will also hopefully develop the level of projects shared between the two countries, according to Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development of UAE.

Zaki Nusseibeh, Minister of State of UAE, added that the UAE-China Week will hopefully help spread the UAE culture over in China as well. It's more of a cultural partnership through arts and heritage which could enlighten the Chinese people about Arab history and culture, the minister added.

Arabian Business reveals that this isn't the only reason for the cultural visit.

While the visit may be to share culture and is hugely diplomatic in nature, it can also work both ways. The culture shared between countries could help in major understanding between potential compatriots; with deeper understanding comes more projects and, in turn, more collaborations that could lead to more innovative tasks being completed.

China is certainly looking forward to reaping the benefits of the annual UAE-China week, and the country is excited about that, as well. It would let China have a taste of the UAE culture while it helps UAE understand the Chinese way of doing things en route to business or scientific partnerships.

The inaugural cultural sharing also ended up with a slate of signed agreements between the two countries.

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (ADNOC) and BGP Inc., a company under the China National Petroleum Company, has signed an agreement worth $1.6 billion.

Both countries hope that this will enable the two countries to have better exchanges between compatriots, whether they're in the government or engaged in private business.
