Ashlee Simpson has a new reality TV series together with her husband, Evan Ross, titled "Ashlee + Evan," on E! Network. However, there are rumors the 33-year-old star's sister, Jessica Simpson, may use her show to return to the music scene.
A couple of gossip magazines assumed Jessica planned to make a comeback through "Ashlee + Evan." An alleged source said the 38-year-old fashion designer had enjoyed her life out of the public's eyes, but she wanted to try her luck on her sister's television show.
Allegedly, Jessica is now writing and working on a new song for "Ashlee + Evan" final episode. However, Ashlee is refusing her sister's plans to sing one of Diana Ross', Evan's mother, iconic songs. The younger Simpson believes it is quite insulting for her mother-in-law if Nick Lachey's former wife will pursue doing it.
The publications also claimed if Jessica's performance on "Ashlee + Evan" becomes a hit, she will consider relaunching her music career. But the siblings' friends are now worried as the older Simpson is always a "bit off and awkward."
However, Gossip Cop debunked these reports as Jessica's rep revealed she has no intention to use "Ashlee + Evan" for her good. Eric Johnson's spouse has no plans to perform on Ashlee's show to make a music or television comeback.
In an interview in July, Jessica even questioned the rumors about her alleged appearance on "Ashlee + Evan." She even asked why she would "want everything to be out there." "It's definitely their journey together," she said.
"Ashlee + Evan" would be about Ashlee and her husband, Evan. The two were about to reveal their privates lives on TV and how they work as a couple.
To recall, Evan and Ashlee got married in 2014. They have a three-year-old daughter named Jagger Snow while the "Pieces of Me" hitmaker also has a son with her first husband, Pete Wentz. But it is not yet revealed if the kids would also be on the reality series.
According to Bustle, "Ashlee + Evan" would mostly focus on Ashlee's relationship with Evan and her comeback to the music scene. The "Ashlee Simpson Show" star is now preparing for her singing return together with her husband, who also appeared in the movies "96 Minutes" and "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Pts. 1-2."
In no time, fans will once again see Ashlee returns to the small screen "Ashlee + Evan" on September 9 on E! Network.
