DICE have released a new trailer that gives a quick overview of "Battlefield V," its newest and most exciting "Battlefield" game to date.

The trailer allows players and fans to have a glimpse at the improvements and exciting features of "Battlefield V." The Telegraph notes that DICE has been very secretive about one of the franchise's new mode, a battle royale mode called "Firestorm."

Even the trailer itself refuses to give much detail regarding the game mode, except that it exists -- and fans should look out for it.

Initially called "Royale," Firestorm is DICE's take on the ever-growing battle royale game mode made popular by other games such as "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" and "Fortnite," but done the "Battlefield" way.

Firestorm will have 64 players, divided into four teams with 16 players each, and pit them against each other in a huge map that DICE claims to be the largest map they ever created for a "Battlefield" game.

"Fortnite" might have a larger number of players blasting one another away (at 100), but DICE promises to make the "Battlefield" battle royale experience something to look forward to thanks to a lot of game details.

First, the setting. "Battlefield V" players will get the chance to play a battle royale game mode set during the World War II period. The setting gives players a different feel to it, complete with visuals, weaponry, and other things.

Second, the map features destructible structures. Walls and other fortifications can be destroyed, and because DICE developed the game's physics to become more realistic, destroying structures in an attempt to decimate enemy players will be more fun and interesting to watch.

Third, vehicles. Since the game is set during World War II times, players will get to enjoy a variety of vehicles found during that same era. Tanks!

All of these makes for an ultimately unique battle royale experience. And since the number of players on the field is smaller, the experience will be a lot different compared to other like games.

More Than Just a Battle Royale

"Battlefield V" is more than just Firestorm. It includes other game modes that will excite "Battlefield" and other first-person-shooter game fans alike.

There's a "Grand Operations" mode that will put players in massive campaigns that run for four in-game days. Maps and settings will change as the game progresses.

DICE also put more emphasis on multiplayer team play, adding incentives for working closely with a team and allowing players to achieve more when they work together to finish tasks.

There's also a single player mode that presents what DICE says are untold and unknown war stories about World War II.

"Battlefield V" open beta is now available for everyone and will remain open until September 11, 2018.
