There is no doubt that people want to achieve a flat stomach. Apart from exercising and having a good night sleep, it is one of the many things that help people maintain a healthy lifestyle. But considering the demand of modern life, it is almost impossible to achieve - let alone maintain - such a lifestyle.

According to NDTV, celeb nutritionist named Rujuta Diwekar suggests that a good start is to refrain from using gadgets. People should try doing this at least one hour before going to bed. Doing so is quite helpful when it comes to achieving a good night sleep. Here are some of the tips she believes will help in maintaining a consistent exercise regime.

Refrain From Using Gadgets Before Sleeping

Rujuta says that people must veer away from using gadgets (e.g., phones, tablet, TV, etc.) before going to bed. They must do this at least an hour beforehand. Otherwise, they will find it difficult to sleep. These gadgets will only take up much of their time, which could have been used for added sleeping hours.

Go For An Early Dinner

Taking an early dinner helps in going to bed early. Hence, it can become a good promoter for better health. However, it is important to maintain a gap between dinner and bedtime. Rujuta suggests that there must be at least 2 hours in between. Plus, people should try eating healthy, home-cooked meals, such as sabzi, roti, and chappati, among many others.

Always Stay Active

One of the ways to stay active and maintain it is to sit in a certain place for like 30 minutes. For every 30 minutes that a person sits in this place, he/she will be able to stand for about 3 minutes. This standing, in particular, must be done only by standing up with both of the feet straight. People must not lead on a wall or something that could provide support, Doctor NDTV suggests.

Add Walking To The Lifestyle

Walking is a very effective means to stay in a healthy lifestyle. In the office, people could just try walking around. This is very important, especially if they are in jobs that usually require hours of sitting. When going home, try walking if possible and avoid going from one place to another with a car. This is possible, of course, if the distance is not that long. It is worth noting, though, that walking is not an exercise. But while the latter is far more important, the former does it job accordingly.
