If you're a gamer, you've probably been trying out Overwatch's newest hero since she was released to the PTR on Monday, November 5, and some, like streamer Josh 'OAM' Pemberton, have discovered what they think is the best feature to come with Ashe and B.O.B.As OAM heads into Lijiang Tower's Control Center, he summons his B.O.B. to back him up in eliminating an enemy Ashe before advancing to point. Dexerto has reported of this simple hack that a streamer discovered.
That's when the streamer decides to say "hello" to B.O.B. by deploying the in-game chat mechanism, and surprisingly, B.O.B. waves back."We have discovered the best feature, someone please clip," OAM asks, imploring his viewers to capture this heartwarming moment forever.
Shortly after his debut at BlizzCon in the new "Reunion" short, B.O.B. instantly became a star, and some people are definitely more excited for him than for the actual hero. Some of the Overwatch Developers called B.O.B. a "unicorn" during the Overwatch: What's Next panel at BlizzCon, meaning he didn't go through very many changes from his first concept, which probably gave them more time to add awesome interactions.
At the moment, most people logging into Overwatch's PTR are doing so for the same reason: to play the new hero Ashe, and one player has shared their ingenious technique that works with a piece of card taped to the monitor. This helps one identify the new hero. A user identified as gomminator, posted to Reddit, saying he has a card cut into an arrow, and taped on the bottom of the monitor pointing at Ashe's character card. This is where it shows up on the select screen for the hero.
Shortly after the queue finds a match, the player starts furiously clicking at the point indicated by the arrow even before the hero icons load, once they do, Ashe is immediately locked in with a double-click. The fast preemptive clicking ensures that there's almost no chance someone would be able to get Ashe or any hero the technique was used on unless another player was using the same tact.
However, this method can only work on PC, since the vast majority of console players use controllers instead of mouse and keyboard, which makes hero selection less efficient on a console. Remember that Ashe was revealed during the BlizzCon 2018 opening ceremonies as Overwatch's 29th hero, and was released on the PTR just a few days later on Monday, November 5. As a hardcore gamer, I can't get enough of Ashe and with this new technique floating around.
