Fans may be happy with the chance to play "Red Dead Online" with their friends and strangers but - more than the occasional griefing player - it seems that the game's restrictive economy may be putting a damper on players' enjoyment. With "Red Dead Online" still currently in beta, Rockstar Games has made a promise to look into the concerns of players currently giving feedback during this period leading up to the multi-player game's official launch.

According to Gamespot, "Red Dead Online" players have been complaining about the unbalanced economy within the game since launch. One of the more popular examples of "Red Dead Online's" state of the economy is the observation that a gold wedding ring costs similar to a can of baked beans when sold to in-game vendors.

Considering that a potential "Red Dead Online" update will be introducing the ability to purchase gold bars as an in-game currency with real money, players are worried about the game's future. "Red Dead Online" players are concerned that the game will become a grind-focused game that seems impractical to continue playing without additional micro-transactions to purchase said gold bars.

US Gamer notes that the fears of "Red Dead Online" players may not be unfounded. "Red Dead Online players have already calculated the amount of time needed to create one gold bar in-game. According to the publication, players hoping to simply farm gold nuggets to turn into gold bars will have to spend at least eight hours to produce one gold bar. When the cost of horse insurance is worth at least 5 gold bars, it means that players will have to grind at least 40 hours just to make sure they can get their horse back properly when it gets killed.

Rockstar Games has responded to "Red Dead Online" player concerns with an announcement on Twitter. According to the game development studio, players can expect to have their concerns listened to and the studio will be rolling out some significant changes to the "Red Dead Online" experience by the end of the week or the next week. How exactly Rockstar Games plans on implementing changes to the "Red Dead Online" economy has yet to be revealed.

Aside from fixes to the "Red Dead Online" game economy, players can also expect some bugs to be handled by the game's upcoming update. As Rockstar mentions, one of the priority bugs to be resolved by the studio is a recent error that kicks certain players from their game sessions consistently. "Red Dead Online" players will just have to stay tuned when the next updates go live to see if Rockstar Games is able to consider the current issues of the game's economy.
