Rockstar Games recently released an update to "Red Dead Redemption 2" but it may not be as exciting as some players were hoping. "Red Dead Redemption 2" online players may be at the edge of their seats for a rumored new game mode but Rockstar Games seems to be focusing on the basics for its latest update.
According to VG24/7, the latest "Red Dead Redemption 2" updates have focused on stability issues for the game. With the latest update, players can now expect lower instances of stuck loading screens in both story mode and in the "Red Dead Online" beta. In addition, the latest update also removes some particularly annoying features that players might have been encountering in "Red Dead Redemption 2's" online multiplayer.
Some of the specific "Red Dead Redemption 2" story mode missions that have had their loading screens fixed include "Country Pursuits," saving after accomplishing "The First Shall Be Last," and instances when the loading screen gets stuck after reloading directly from a save. In addition, the bug which takes away access to weapons and equipment after completing a mission replay in Guarma has been addressed by the "Red Dead Redemption 2" update.
"Red Dead Redemption 2" players who are currently enjoying the "Red Dead Online" beta can also expect some quality of life changes made by the recent update. These include fixes to the missions "Love and Honor," and "Honor Among Horse Thieves." "Red Dead Redemption 2" online multi-player gamers can also expect the annoying "Scrawny Nag" bug to go away after the update when taking out injured horses from stables.
Xbox gamers who have encountered a critical issue with "Red Dead Redemption 2" and the Xbox Live services can now also rest easy knowing that the bug that makes the game crash to the Xbox Home screen has now been fixed. In addition, the annoying bug that prevents players from loading "Red Dead Online" without going into story mode has also been addressed.
While the current set of fixes included in the update are definitely appreciated, Forbes echoes some of the general thoughts that players might be having after an uneventful update. According to the publication, a focus on "Red Dead Redemption 2" multiplayer game modes would be a good addition to the gaming experience for most online players.
In addition, Forbes notes that "Red Dead Redemption 2's" online multiplayer should not stop taking cues from Rockstar Games' other successful MMO, "Grand Theft Auto Online." Hopefully, the end of this week will include the official confirmation of the recently leaked game mode, "Gun Rush."
