Joe Goldberg (played by Penn Badgley) is not just getting a new girlfriend to stalk in "You" season 2. It looks he's also going to have a new young friend after saying goodbye to Paco (played by Luca Padovan) in the first season.

According to TV Line, "You" season 2 has enlisted Jenna Ortega in the role of Ellie. Fans of "Jane the Virgin" might recognize the actress because she played young Jane Villanueva in The CW series.

Ortega is playing a teenager who's too mature for her age in "You" season 2. As Ellie, she's got a lot of spunk, street smarts and has been getting on with her life with little adult supervision.

Apparently, Ellie is used to conning people for cash but Joe will likely be on to her modus. Their relationship won't be like Joe's friendship with Paco. But if there's anything viewers have learned from the first season of "You" is that Joe has a soft spot for lost kids despite his dangerous personality.

"You" season 2 is also adding James Scully as Forty Quinn. The character has been described as an opinionated and confident fellow. If he's your friend, Forty can be reliable as they come. But if he's your enemy, Forty can be quite the bully.

Forty is the brother of Love, Joe's latest love interest in "You" season 2. "The Haunting of Hill House" star Victoria Pedretti will be playing the character, according to Deadline.

Love is an aspiring chef who's also a produce manager at a neighborhood grocery store. Unlike Joe's previous girlfriend, Beck (played by Elizabeth Lail), Love is not into social media and she has gone through a deep loss, which is what will connect her with Joe.

"You" launched on Lifetime around September 2018 but the show picked up a strong following after the first season began streaming on Netflix last December. The show has been renewed for a second season before the series hit the screens. However, "You" season 2 will no longer be airing on Lifetime as it has been made into a Netflix original series.

Only Badgley is returning from the original cast but showrunner Sera Gamble hinted in previous interviews that it's still possible for Dr. Nicky (played by John Stamos) to be featured in "You" season 2. Viewers of the show last learned that the psychiatrist landed in legal trouble because Joe made sure he'll be framed for the crimes the serial killer committed.

Netflix has not yet announced the exact date of release for "You" season 2. The first season, however, is still streaming on the platform.
