Is Keanu Reeves finally going to work on "Bill and Ted 3" this March with Alex Winter? Rumors suggest that filming may be underway after years of pre-production delays.

A note appearing on Production Weekly's latest filming schedules indicated that principal photography for "Bill and Ted 3," officially titled "Bill and Ted Face the Music," will start on March 5. The cast and crew are also reportedly going to film in locations across Los Angeles, Temple and Phoenix.

Producer Steven Soderbergh also teased in a recent interview with CNET that "Bill and Ted 3" might have Christmas release as a fitting gift to the fans. Fans of the franchise, who followed the 1989 debut and the 1991 sequel, were even more excited when the official Bill & Ted 3 became Twitter-verified last Feb. 8.

However, despite all that's going on, Orion Pictures apparently denied that the movie will begin filming. What this may mean is that the third installment won't likely be ready by December.

It is definitely taking "Bill and Ted 3" a while to get off the ground. Development started nearly a decade ago when Reeves revealed that the franchise's original writers, Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, were working on a new script.

Six years, and a number of delays later, Winter confirmed that "Bill and Ted 3" has the writers, director Dean Parisot and a production studio, thus work might start by 2017. However, by 2018 and still, with no film to show for, Solomon explained that pre-production has been taking so long because they wanted to get "Bill and Ted" creatively right.

"Bill and Ted" centers on two dim-witted teenage boys who want nothing more than to be famous musicians. A mysterious man, however, lures them into getting on a time machine where they changed and affected the course of history. Apparently, it's Bill and Ted's music that holds so much importance in the fate of the world in the future.

The follow-up movie finds Bill and Ted at war with the Grim Reaper. The two go back to the present day to win in the Battle of the Bands.

The third movie will reportedly focus on Bill and Ted as middle-aged men with families and daily routines. They're still not famous music artists, though, but a new chance to time travel brings another kind of excitement in their lives.
