Today's fast-paced and digital world makes it difficult for companies to keep in touch with potential clients and customers, and that is what this new startup aims to fix.
Based in San Francisco, Sendoso, a 2.5-year-old online-to-offline startup, does just that, offering to the source, store and ship anything a particular business needs to send, all while tracking its return on investment down the line.
But how does it do it anyway?
Online-to-offline
Well, for starters, the company currently has relations with a myriad of workers on whom it can easily call to help when the opportunity presents itself. Because of this, the company has integrated itself with Salesforce, Engagio, and Marketo, all of which are platforms where companies huge and small usually live and thrive.
These relations then create a connected network that lets an employee of Sendoso log into the program and, depending on the chosen preset budget, either choose a gift, type out a message for a customer, or click on a contact. This command will then come out as an order for the company, which then picks a related worker to start on the product.
According to CEO and co-founder Kris Rudeegraap, "Having worked in sales for 10 years, it was clear that customer success was shifting away from this dependence on email because of the digital noise being created." Per Rudeegraap, a functional offline channel that makes custom and personalized gifts like wine, or even something as simple as handwritten gifts (penned by Sendoso employees themselves) might be the next breakthrough solution.
See something on Amazon and you want to send it? The company will send it to one of their warehouses and personalize it before sending it out again. Want to send someone congratulatory mugs? Done. A personalized note to a potential client in New York? Not a problem. Whatever you need, Sendoso will do its best to meet it, and send it out using trusted, major carriers like UPS or FedEx.
Presently, the company caters to both tech startups and Fortune 100 companies, resulting in an impressive client list. In fact, in just two years of operations, the company already has 110 full-time employees, six warehouses (including an 80,000 square-foot space in Las Vegas) and a long list of vendor relationships.
To date, the company has now managed to raise $13.2 million and has plans of expanding further down the line.
