Prince Harry's rumored rift with his older brother Prince William may just be tabloid fodder. The real score between the brothers' relationship may not be as drama-filled as other people would have hope after Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle left a sweet message for Prince William and Kate Middleton's son.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge recently shared a photo of their third baby, Prince Louis, on Instagram, who was turning one year old. Under the comments section, Louis' Uncle Harry and Aunt Meghan posted a message to greet the little boy a happy birthday.
According to Elle, it's likely that Meghan wrote the birthday greetings for Louis on behalf of Prince Harry. Royal watchers have insisted that it's Meghan who's been manning the carefully written and chosen social media account for House Sussex.
However, regardless of who wrote the birthday greeting on Instagram, it's pretty clear that the rumors regarding the brother's distance may just be juicy drama for the press. The royals may not be even aware that their family issues -- whether it's true or not -- have been unfolding in the press since insiders said that the royal family does not read stories about themselves.
Despite the lovely greetings on Louis' birthday, royal watchers observed that Prince Harry and Prince William hardly had an interaction during the Queen's birthday last Easter Sunday. Both men attended the church service at Windsor Castle but sources told Entertainment Tonight that the brothers were obviously distancing themselves from each other.
Royal watchers aren't used to the princes ignoring each other when they often joke and laugh while together in public. In recent appearances, however, the brothers are seen as either not talking or standing in between several other people so that they do not have to be side by side.
According to insiders, the tension between Prince Harry and Prince William started when the latter made it known that he was worried about Harry's relationship with Meghan. William apparently told Harry that his romance with the actress was moving too fast during their first few months of dating and this hurt Harry's feelings.
However, royal officials said that the "split" between the brothers is a matter of evolution. Now that they each have their own families and William is in line to the throne, the differences in their roles and duties have to be clearly defined.
