Cressida (played by Lorraine Toussaint) has been fighting alongside Pilgrim (played by Babou Ceesay) in this fight for domination. She may, however, realize too late that she has chosen the wrong side in Into the Badlands season 3 episode 15.
The episode, which will be the second to the last installment until the series finale of Into the Badlands, will air on Monday, April 29, at 10:00 p.m. Titled "Requiem for the Fallen," this will highlight what Cressida has seen from future.
Cressida is seen performing one of her rituals yet again in the teaser of Into the Badlands season 3 episode 15, It's a pretty violent part as she cuts her tongue and still tries to chant her words.
All of sudden, Cressida is brought to a different time and place. The next scenes show bodies all around her and she comes face to face with Pilgrim by when she turns around.
She hears Pilgrim say something about his new Azra in Into the Badlands season 3 episode 15. Then, without warning, Pilgrim chokes her on the neck and snaps her dead.
The incident jolts Cressida back to the present and she suddenly cries. It seems a realization has washed over her. Did she figure out that Pilgrim's quest to rule the Badlands cannot be stopped no matter what the cost. Will this make Cressida ditch Pilgrim and switch side?
According to the episode synopsis of Into the Badlands season 3 episode 15, Sunny (played by Daniel Wu), Bajie (played by Nick Frost) and Gaius ([played by Lewis Tan) will find an unlikely ally in their fight against Pilgrim. Will this ally be actually be Cressida?
Meanwhile, the series finale of Into the Badlands season 3 promises to bring its biggest martial arts battle. Titled "Seven Strike as One," this episode will have The Widow (played by Emily Beecham) align with Bajie and Sunny to fight Pilgrim, as per TV Guide.
However, M.K. (played by Aramis Knight) has personal battles to hurdle as he goes after The Widow. M.K. has fully embraced his dark side as seen in the previous episode but will things still turn around?
Unfortunately, fans of Into the Badlands will have to contend with what's likely an incomplete ending given that the series was abruptly canceled on AMC. There will be no more Into the Badlands season 4 but instead, producers said the story will likely continue into graphic book versions.
