The clock is winding down on The Blacklist season 6. However, episode 21, which is set to air on Friday, May 10, is going to be filled with more shocking moments that will surely send the fans in a daze.

The presidential adviser Anna McMahon (played by Jennifer Ferrin) is going to majorly clash with the Task Force and Cooper (played by Harry Lennix) in The Blacklist season 6 episode 21. According to the episode synopsis, there is a missing dossier that has the details of a conspiracy. And this important document could put America at risk.

Thus, Anna and Cooper both want to be the first to get hold of this missing dossier. But could Anna be in it for something else?

The Blacklist creator Jon Bokencamp recently said in an interview with TV Line that something is up with Anna, so viewers have to closely watch her every move. Bokencamp also said that the character is plotting something with President Diaz (played by Benito Martinez) and it would likely not be what viewers of The Blacklist will expect.

So, ts it possible that Anna isn't the big bad after all? Reddington (played by James Spader) was able to confirm in a previous episode that she had no ties to the Third Estate, the famous Blacklister.

Meanwhile, The Blacklist season 6 episode 18 and 19, which aired as a two-parter last April 26, have revealed a couple of truths about the real identity of Reddington. The episodes introduced a Russian agent named Ilya Koslov (played by Gabriel Mann) who was working with Katarina Rostova (played by Lotte Verbeek), who was the mother of Liz (played by Megan Boone).

In a flashback scene of The Blacklist season 6 episode 18 and 19, it was shown that Ilya had romantic feelings for Katarina. When she wanted to start over, Ilya helped her gain a new identity, as well as steal money from a dead guy named Raymond Reddington so they could escape the KGB.

However, the real Reddington's account was highly secured that Ilya thought he has to impersonate him so got facial surgery. Once healed from the operation Ilya, now as Red, siphoned the bank account.

In the present day, Liz thanked Red for helping and protecting her mother. She also told him that she knows what he did because her grandfather Dom (played by Brian Dennehy) told the truth in The Blacklist season 6. But when Liz left, Red confronted Dom and accused him of making things worse. This suggested that perhaps the Ilya/Red switch isn't real.

The Blacklist season 6 has three more episodes left to air until the big season finale. The show airs Friday nights on NBC.
