Of all the things that one could fail to do in The Amazing Race season 31, a dance contest might be the most pitiful. But as the previews for the next episode will show, it's not just one team who'll have much difficulty with this task but several racers.
In the video for The Amazing Race season 31 episode 3, the teams are shown receiving dance instructions from a local choreographer in this Vietnam leg. He didn't seem too pleased by how the teams are doing, and he kept saying "No" to their movements.
The teams were also asked to wear fancy costumes that lit up in the dark while they performed their dance. Some of the racers were having too much fun, but others also couldn't wait for this task to be over.
According to TV Guide, The Amazing Race season 31 episode 3 will also have a karaoke singing competition aside from the synchronized dancing. The teams will also have to try their hand at prawn fishing, which should bring a new experience since many of them have likely never done this before.
Meanwhile, The Amazing Race season 31 episode 2, which aired last Wednesday, April 24, eliminated a fan favorite team earlier than expected. Rupert and Laura Boneham, who were on Survivor, were sent home after landing dead last in their tasks in Cambodia, as per Pop Culture. A U-Turn twist introduced so early in the game made the players lose their bearing.
"I consider myself one of the toughest Survivor out there, and Amazing Race kicked my a-," according to Rupert at the end of the episode.
Incidentally, it's not just Rupert and Laura who were competing on The Amazing Race season 31 with a Survivor background. Brett Labelle has teamed up with Chris Hammons for this race, and both come from Survivor season 33. Corrie Kaplan from Survivor season 17 has paired up with Elin Orlins, the Survivor season 9 villain.
In an interview with Men's Health, the Boneham's said that they prepared for The Amazing Race differently than they did in Survivor.
"We got the flags of the world and started learning all the flags, learning what some of the countries highlights were," Rupert said. Laura, on the other hand, said the preparations for The Amazing Race season 31 was more overwhelming as one cannot possibly get a grasp of the whole world in a few weeks.
The Amazing Race season 31 airs every Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.
