The birth certificate of Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, the first-born son of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, has been made public. The document finally revealed the facts to the much-speculated royal birth, which included the official job of his mother.
As revealed in the document published on TIME, Meghan's official occupation is as the Princess of the United Kingdom. The California-born royal was a former TV star on the legal drama Suits in the U.S.
The ex-actress, however, has not been referred to as Princess Meghan just like her sister-in-law Kate Middleton because they are married into, and not born into, a royal family. Both women's official royal titles are Duchess of Sussex and Duchess of Cambridge, respectively.
The birth certificate also indicated that Archie was born at the Portland Hospital in Westminster in London on May 6, 2019. This belied speculations that Meghan had a home birth and was surrounded by doulas when she went in labor.
According to the Daily Mail, Portland Hospital is still a luxury facility despite House Sussex deciding to buck the tradition of having the baby's birth at the St. Mary's Hospital's Lindo Wing. Here, new mothers are apparently given a special meal that includes foie gras, lobster and wine once the baby arrives. Portland Hospital is also where Prince Harry's cousins, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice were born over 30 years ago.
Meanwhile, a friend of Meghan recently broke down in tears during an interview on CBS This Morning. Makeup artist Daniel Martin cried to host Gayle King when talking about the duchess because of the negative press she's been receiving from the tabloids.
Martin said that Meghan didn't deserve those nasty stories written about her. He denies that the former Hollywood star makes a lot of demands from the royal staff because that's not how she behaves. In fact, Meghan and Harry have yet to hire a nanny, a chef and a household caretaker at their new home in Frogmore Cottage.
Another friend of Meghan, actress Janina Gavankar, also told CBS This Morning that Meghan doesn't read the stories about her, regardless if it's good or bad. Gavankar also revealed that Meghan will be a low maintenance mom and she has been preparing for motherhood for years.
"This is the dawn of a new generation. Their child is going to represent what the world is now," Martin said in the interview, which aired on CBS on Friday, May 17, at 8:00 p.m.
