Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson remain to be two of the most followed stars today. It cannot be denied that the duo owes their fame from their effective portrayal as Bella Swan and Edward Cullen in the vampire-themed movie franchise titled Twilight. Now, recent rumors are claiming Kristen and Robert could appear together, again, in a new movie.
The internet broke when it was confirmed that Robert Pattinson is among the top choices to replace Ben Affleck as Batman. Sources claimed that the former boyfriend of Kristen Stewart is, currently, in negotiation to play the iconic role in Matt Reeve's imminent superhero movie. The said film is scheduled to premiere on June 25, 2021.
Insiders have it that there is 95 percent of chance that Robert would get the role. However, it was revealed that nothing is finalized yet, which includes the casting of Kristen Stewart's ex-beau. Earlier this year, Ben Affleck announced that he is hanging up his cape and bidding farewell to Batman. Should things push through Robert Pattinson will become the second-youngest star to ever play the role on the big screen.
When reports about Robert Pattinson's possible inheritance to the superhero role sparked, some fans started speculating that Kristen Stewart might become a part of the film, too. Several Twitter users insisted that Kristen should portray the role of Catwoman. "Cast Kristen Stewart as Catwoman you coward," someone stated in a post. Another user suggested that casting Robert "only works" is Kristen will play as Catwoman.
"I know Rob hasn't officially signed on BUT, if the role is available, I would not be mad at Kristen being Catwoman lol," another Twitter user said about the possibility of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart playing the said fictional characters. "If not only for my own selfish reasons (*cough* to upset bians further *cough*) but also because I'm pretty sure she'd do better at it than people think." If Kristen would be tapped to play the Catwoman role, there is a huge possibility that fans would be seeing the Twilight stars on the big screens together again.
While it is true that Kristen and Robert could give justice to the Batman and Catwoman roles, it should be noted that Matt Reeves nor the former Twilight stars have not confirmed anything as of yet.
