Briana (Amy Margaret Wilson) has placed herself in a bad situation in Blindspot season 4 episode 20. Forced out of her will to do a terrorist's bidding, she was seen stealing an item from the safe of Jane (played by Jamie Alexander) and Weller (played by Sullivan Stapleton).

Apparently, Briana had no choice but to follow the orders of Dominic (played by Chaske Spencer). According to Entertainment Weekly, he threatened Briana to do as she was told or else her parents would wind up dead.

Briana's decision, however, will lead to the conclusion of Blindspotseason 4 on Friday, May 31, on NBC. The finale episode will be aired in two parts from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m.

According to the episode synopsis for Blindspot season 4 episode 21, Dominic will finally put the plans of Madeline (played by Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) into play after receiving whatever Briana took from the safe. Weller, Jane and the rest of the team will try to stop the terrorists from wreaking havoc but not before Madeline sparks an international conflict.

Madeline will also succeed in unveiling everyone's little secret, which could hurt how Weller's team trusted and relied on each other in Blindspot season 4 episode 22. The final episode, titled "Gang Gets Gone," suggests there won't be a happy ending for this group.

However, fans need not worry about getting closure because Blindspot is sure to return for a fifth season. NBC announced in early May that Blindspot season 5, which will likely begin airing in the fall, will be the last installment.

Fans doubted the status of Blindspotseason 5 because the show went on several breaks and hiatus during the fourth season. This was an indication that the network was preparing to drop the series from its line-up.

According to Deadline, the current season of Blindspot is still doing well with delayed viewings among its fan base. The show averages at least 4.9 million viewers every week even if it doesn't have a strong performance during the live broadcasts.

Internationally, Blindspot also has a stronger fanbase, especially on Netflix. Thus, it was able to land a fifth and final season renewal.

Blindspot centers on a tattooed woman (Jane) who woke up inside a duffel bag naked in the middle of New York's busy Time Square. She had no memory of who she is, how she got there and why her body is riddled with tattoos. She worked with the FBI in solving their cases, however, when they figured out that her tattoos were clues to so many cases that threatened the safety of millions of people.
